Uploading / embedding files in articles
Uploading PDFs, Documents, and Other File Types in Articles
In addition to images and videos, you can also upload and embed other types of files directly into your HelpSite articles.
These include:
PDFs (
.pdf)Documents (
.doc,.docx)Spreadsheets (
.xls,.xlsx,.csv)Presentations (
.ppt,.pptx)Text files (
.txt)
How to Upload These Files
You can add these files using the Upload button in the article editor. HelpSite uses a simple WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor, which means what you see while editing is how it will look once published.
To upload and embed a file (like a PDF or document), just click the file icon 📄 (shown below) and choose your file or drag it into the box. Your file will be added as a downloadable link directly in your article.

File Size Limit
The maximum upload size is 10MB per file.
If you see an error like “Something went wrong,” it could mean the file is too large or not in a supported format. Try compressing the file or converting it to a supported type and re-uploading.
