How to use AI Assist to Create Articles from Documents or Notes
AI Assist helps you create Help Center articles faster by generating a draft from existing content. You can paste notes, SOPs, or documentation, or upload a file such as a DOCX or PDF, and AI Assist will turn it into a structured article draft.
The generated content is inserted directly into the editor so you can review, edit, and publish it.

"Create a customer-facing help article from this documentation."
Adding instructions helps AI Assist better understand your intent.
Adjusting Output Settings
You can customize how the generated article is written using the output settings.
Available settings include:
Target style
Help Center (customer-facing)
Internal documentation
Tone
Friendly - Uses approachable, conversational language that is easy for customers to understand. This is useful for customer-facing help articles.
Neutral - Uses a balanced and professional tone. The writing is clear and informative without sounding overly casual.
Concise - Focuses on delivering the information quickly with minimal extra explanation. This style is useful for quick instructions or straightforward documentation.
Length
Short - Creates a brief article that focuses only on the most important steps or key points.
Medium - Creates a moderately detailed article with explanations and structured steps.
Detailed - Creates a more comprehensive article that includes additional explanations, context, and expanded sections when helpful.
These settings help shape the structure and voice of the generated article.
How AI Assist Inserts Content
When the draft is generated:
The content is inserted at your current cursor position.
Existing article content is never overwritten.
You can immediately edit the draft in the editor.
If needed, you can remove the generated content using the normal Undo command.
Notes About Formatting
AI Assist focuses on understanding the content rather than preserving the exact formatting of the source material.
Because of this:
Original formatting may change
Headings or structure may be simplified
Images and links may not be preserved
You can easily adjust formatting in the editor after the draft is inserted.
