Using Auto-Save in the WYSIWYG Article Editor

The WYSIWYG article editor automatically saves your work in the background every few seconds, so progress is preserved even if you don't click Save.

How It Works

  • Edits are automatically saved every 10 seconds while you're typing.

  • The Draft last saved by [editor’s name] appears in the sidebar under the author section.

  • If you leave the editor and return later, your unsaved draft will still be there.

Good to Know

  • Auto-save only runs when changes are detected, so it won’t trigger unnecessarily.

  • Manual save options are still available: Save & Done and Save & continue editing.

  • If a save attempt fails (e.g. due to network issues), the system will retry automatically.

This feature ensures your work stays safe without interrupting your editing flow.
